Club Tropicana
Well we're back from our week in the tropics - Praa sands, Cornwall to be precise. It's a few miles shy of Penzance and around 17 from Land's End if that helps. Anyway a truly wonderful place for a holiday if anyone's interested - plenty of things to visit including to truly awesome Eden Project. The slightly foggy picture of the 3 of us was taken on one of the enormous biomes there which housed thousands of tropical plants hence the humidity and condensation on the lens.
Weather was misty for 3 or 4 days and then absolutely incredible for the rest. It had everything the Costa Del Sol has but without the permanent building-site look, arrid landscape, yobs, beaches jam-packed with tourists, lousy food and bucket-flight to an airport 40 miles from where you're staying. Give me Blighty any day.
The other picture is of Amelia shovelling sand around but her spade has some history - it was mine. 30 years ago it was me making sandcastles in Wales and now I've handed it down the line. How's that for an heirloom?
